Gwen qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1988. Since 1999 she has worked within the NHS with children and young people; mainly those who have a neurodivergent profile. 

In 2003 she moved to the Community Autism Team within NHS GGC and became involved in the assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum conditions.  During her time there she was part of working groups who helped develop SIGN Guidelines for Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as the National Association of Paediatric Occupational Therapists (NAPOT) Best Practice Guidelines for ASD. 

In 2006 Gwen became Head Paediatric Occupational Therapist in NHS Argyll & Clyde, and continued to be involved in the assessments of a range of neurodevelopmental disorders including ASD, ADHD and FASD. 

For the past 2 years Gwen has worked as Neurodevelopmental Clinical Coordinator for West Dunbartonshire. She continues to assess for a range of conditions and is involved in the development of multiagency supports for neurodivergent children & young people.

Gwen also provides assessment and diagnosis for adults.
