QB Check
You may want to consider opting to include the QBcheck to enhance your assessment. In certain cases, your practitioner may advise this assessment if your situation is complex. This may be necessary to determine if you should proceed with a full assessment and/or confirm if you meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD.
ADHD Diagnosis using QbCheck
At Neurodevelopmental Assessment Stirling, we understand that ADHD is a complex condition. The QbCheckis an evidence-based test that enhances the ADHD assessment and treatment process, increasing the reliability and robustness of our assessments. It is recognised and used by the NHS in Scotland and England.
QbCheck is not a standalone test for ADHD; it is intended to complement the assessment process by combining objective data and a range of other clinical and background information. By measuring activity level, concentration ability, and impulse control, a more comprehensive evaluation of ADHD symptoms can be obtained.

What is the QbCheck:
The QB check uses motion tracking systems and computerised tasks to measure core ADHD symptoms: hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention. It is an effective tool for diagnosing ADHD in both children and adults (6-60 years).
As a computer-based screening tool. The tool will be administered in clinic and for some individuals can be carried out from your own home.
Your QbCheck results are compared with individuals of the same age and gender (biological sex), who have a clinical diagnosis of ADHD and those who do not.
What to expect from QBcheck:
If the assessment is conducted in a clinic, your practitioner will assist you with the instructions. If the assessment is to be performed at home, you will receive clear and straightforward instructions on how to prepare.
You will work through the following steps:
Rating scale – Reflect on your behaviour and provide ratings based on the prompts given. Your honest input will contribute to a more accurate result.
Computer check – Take a moment to check your test conditions and environment. Adjust your seating position and lighting to create an optimal setting for the test.
Instructions – Take the time to read and understand the instructions provided. Pay close attention to each detail as it is vital for successfully completing the test.
Ability test – Complete a 1-minute ability test to ensure your understanding of the instructions and increase your chances of successfully completing the full test.
The real test – You will need to allow 15 – 20 minutes for this part of the test.
Report – Once you’ve completed the test, your results will be sent to us ready for your clinician to review.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a QbCheck you must:
Be between 6 and 60 years of age.
Have access to a laptop or computer with a webcam and stable internet connection
Qbtech:
QbCheck is well-documented, widely used, and registered or cleared by all concerned authorities, including The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and The Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
